Alone I stand looking over the scene

Demons abound so thick, like a sea

All my life a battle is waged

Inside and out all I feel is it's rage

Protecting all whom I hold dear to my heart

I begin to wonder when my soul tore apart

How can one fight so fierce and so long

Trying so desperatly just to belong

To reach for the stars is far from my grasp

For I only pray for peace at last

This peace comes easy for most in my sight

But for me it seems to gain wings and flight

So tired I grow from protecting these souls

But no one else knows what are my goals

As the darkness creeps over my sight

My only instinct is continue the fight

Where is my end, when may I rest

I see a light shining against the demons behest

There is my end my hope and my dream

As I begin to dash, I hear not a sound

Silence so deafening no joy could be found

Lowering my gaze from my dream to be free

I hear a call of ones suffering calling out to me

I turn with a sigh and shout out for all

My dreams being held, even if my hopes shall fall

This is my curse my reason to be

Protecting all others and never be free

There will never be peace it's barely a dream

But my hope still stands even as I scream

As I close my eyes to the demon sea

I feel a hand reach for...me....

It is my dream as it shall ever be.....
