Vuzine.com is now hiring!
Ever wanted to be a part of an epic magazine? Well here is your chance. It's really simple! All you have to do is click here!
Vuzine has been an on going project since 2006. It all started out as an idea to create a blog based on a forum. Over the years it has evolved into an idea for an IMVU magazine. "Oh but not another one!" you may say... However, Vuzine has gone the extra distance to create a genuine user experience. The project was backed by a strong group of forum members on the infamous forum "MiscellanyTime". However, just after the plans were getting somewhere, school kicked in again. The project was put on a back burner for many many months, perhaps even a couple of years. It was decided to heat it up again, mostly for the entertainment and the enjoyment of putting forth some decent reading material. We hope that the future of Vuzine will bring members a unique, exciting and informational experience.
Hello everyone,
SourKeys/Amour here! I am here to explain that Vuzine is once again currently hiring volunteers. We have many positions open from Temporary Graphic Designer to Columnist positions needing to be filled.
Temporary Graphics positions are well, temporary. After completing the first issue we realized that we really could use the extra helping hands around the office. Temporary Graphic positions are basically open for people that specialize in specific areas of design. For example, many artists around IMVU specialize in hair or skin. If you find yourself reading this and nodding, please leave me a message with your specialization and I will let you know if we are in need of your skill OR you could click this link. Do not forget to check your junk mail for the registration email!
Permanent Graphics positions are open as well. We have recently lost a few important members to the team. We are basically looking for DEDICATED people with a fairly open schedule. The graphics team is a very important part to the magazine. Graphics consists of everything from avatar editing to text placement. We are currently once again taking applications in this forum. Please read through it carefully and also (if you feel comfortable) leave your email with your post so we have a secondary way of contacting you. If you do not feeling comfortable leaving your email in the public, then please do so via a HOMEPAGE PM with your Vuzii name in it.
For the writers Vussip is a recently introduced column waiting for a creative mind to mold it. Basically what I would like to see for this article is very sarcastic/satirical writing. This article would of course be featured around "IMVU Gossip" and I know there are a ton of you that sit on your behinds all day with nothing better to do but make up stories about people so I figured to take a spin-off from the IMVU Tabloid idea. Basically this article works as follows; It is nearly 100% false information, and you will need to have a big imagination to take this on. It will be based on IMVU. Just so you kind of know what the heck I'm trying to get to, here is a slight example "OMG! Did you hear? Amour is pregnant by an alien baby! Read on to find out more." and so on. You will require to get permission from all people being featured in the article. IF you can get them to play along, try an interview with them, and interview them about their vussip. Also, you may include pictures; using the example above you could include a picture of a 'pregnant' avatar looking surprised or something. Think of STAR magazine or those silly things you see on the racks at the tills of the grocery store. This article will require a sample of writing. I would prefer if the sample revolved around the article, but I will allow you to write about anything as long as it is 100% your own work. For mroe information click here or leave me a IMVU HOMEPAGE MESSAGE.
Hot/Not is another article recently introduced the the Vuzii/ne community. There were no takers for it on the forums so I figured I should also mention it here. Hot/Not is something I came across in a RL magazine that I thought would be neat to have in our own magazine. Of course the names and everything was changed. Basically the writer for this column needs to be an avid shopper and would also need to keep up with the market and the "In items." It is in YOUR hands to decide the trend for the month. This article is meant to be fun. As mentioned above, potential writers will need to hand in a sample of their work. Due to the fact that there is no forum message for this, I would ask that anyone with an interest in this article leaves a HOMEPAGE MESSAGE and or a email to the address SOURKEYS@VUZINE.COM. If you require more information for this article, feel free to leave me a message and I will try to get back to you asap.
Interviewers I really need a few people who are good at asking questions and lots of them. There are a few articles throughout the month that require interviews. Due to the fact that they aren't really full-written articles, it does not matter how many people wish to fill in this position. Everyone can work together as a team for all it matters, we just need lots of questions. If you are interested please e-mail VUZINE@LIVE.COM for more information.
