IMVU is not a GAME, It is a 3D chat client, a social network. There are indeed real people behind the avi's that you communicate with so take care in what you say, how you treat them, and promises that you make.
For some on here, it is a world of fantasy, a place to explore worlds and situations they cannot or would not in reality. Some people are just looking for companionship as there real life world is limited by physical constraints. Some use IMVU as a sexual playground. Some are seeking friendship, enjoying the interaction with others with similar interest from far away or just around the corner, and some of those friends make the transition to real life. Others are seeking love, real love, not fake internet love, but someone to join them in their real life. Someone with whom they can spend time, share their dreams, love with all their heart, and with whom they can share a future. Whatever your reason for being on IMVU, remember every avi has a real person behind it, with real feelings.
I try with everyone I meet and become friends with on here to treat them as I would in real life. As a real person, because at the end of the day, thats what they are, someone sitting at home typing away on their computer.. With feelings just like me. Believe me I know how it feels to be hurt by someone on here... To trust, and believe someone cares, I will never intentionally do it to someone else.
